THE closure of the N2 between Nanaga and Grahamstown has been necessary due to the huge sinkhole that developed about 25km from Grahamstown.

This sinkhole is after the turn-offs to Lalibela, Amakhala, Kwantu and Shamwari game reserves, and traffic officials are allowing guests booked into these game reserves to proceed on the N2 past Nanaga.

This is an appeal to Herald readers to advise friends or family who are booked into these game reserves that they are able to continue past Nanaga on the N2.
