Metro will burn – Sibeko supporters

NELSON Mandela Bay is bracing itself for another wave of protests and unrest as a faction of the ANC and its alliance partners gear up for an ugly fight against the recall of one of their own – chief whip Feziwe Sibeko.

While provincial ANC leaders have yet to confirm they fired Sibeko this week, her supporters say she was summoned to Calata House in King William's Town, the ANC's Eastern Cape headquarters, on Wednesday and relieved of her duties.

By Wednesday night, word had spread throughout the city and her supporters were mobilising support from alliance partners and other community organisations, threatening that "the metro will burn".

Nceba Faku's grubby little fingers in this pie? In a way all this division may present hope for SA. The ANC corruption monster is consuming itself from within. For the sake of us all, may Mangaung be the start of the final collapse of the monolith as the self serving cadres irreconcilably split. SA needs libration from this incompetent elite. Our people need a government focussed on delivery, not their own interests.
