EP hit back after being skittled

26 October 2012

A SECOND-WICKET partnership of 56 between skipper Colin Ackermann and David White provided only false hope for Eastern Province as they were bundled out for a meagre 118 on the opening day of their CSA Provincial cricket match against Boland at Axxess St George's yesterday.

However, led by opening bowler Sisanda Magala's four-wicket haul, the home side hit back swiftly to restrict the visitors to a first innings lead of 44, dismissing them for 162 a few overs before the close of play.
