IN response to The Herald editorial comment, ("Council ignorance a grave concern", October 25), to say ignorance is an under-statement – illiterate, illogical and suffering from illusion are the most appropriate description. On the herd mentality, I am in agreement with you, although I would have preferred flock mentality, especially of sheep – frivolity is a very fitting definition of their attitude.
The multiple protests by residents about service delivery systems are inconsequential to the fathers and mothers of our city. I am reminded of a statement, "Akukho bantu apha (there are no people [of substance] here", ascribed to a council employee as fitting indeed.
Lord save our city.
