Parents who don't pay the hooligans

IT SEEMS to me the real hooligans are the parents who enrol their children at school and don't pay their fees. As an independent school, Ed-u-College has to charge school fees to be able to meet its obligations, which include teacher salaries!

The parents are to blame, not the school. If fees are outstanding from last year, the school has clearly been extremely lenient.

Don't pay your car, bond or cellphone account for a year and then call the bank or service provider a hooligan for your own delinquency! It's sad that the relevant article tends to imply it is okay not to pay ("Bay pupils 'kicked out of exam'", October 29) and that your paper then labels the school as the bad guy.
