Bay TV goes national

BARELY a year after hitting the small screen in Nelson Mandela Bay and surrounds, community TV station Bay TV is going digital and national. Announcing the change yesterday, Bay TV board members – wearing fancy suits – said the station would also be introducing new shows.

While Bay TV will be available on DStv channel 260 from November 13, those without DStv can still tune in using a terrestrial aerial.

Deputy station manager Lungile Nduvane, board and crew members were excited about going national as this would provide home-grown talent with broader exposure nationally. It would also mean better reception for Bay viewers.
