Make own way, don't rely on others

THE injustices of the world are rearing their ugly heads in all societies. Corruption is an evil which has spread throughout the world, causing violence and destabilisation.

Most people are clamouring for a better deal than what they are receiving.

The economy of the world is based on supply and demand. Any enterprise has to run at a profit to survive.

Most workers want to receive a part of that profit for their labour. The entrepreneur has to have the greater share, being the creator of the business and has to run the risk of making it profitable.

Without employers you have joblessness. The moral of the story is for the employer to offer a wage which is fair in order to keep an employee in his job, and to remunerate him according to his skill and worth.

That is a golden rule to follow.

A striking mentality, rather than negotiating, has never brought anyone any success in life.

Having worked for an employer for a wage which is not sustainable, an employee could either negotiate for an increase or find employment elsewhere. To get a job depends on what a person's capabilities are.

To gain any form of independence any person should strive for advancement and the only way to achieve that is to do your best, to budget, to save and to cut your cloth according to size. Under those conditions anyone should be able to learn as much as possible and gain enough experience also to become an entrepreneur.

To maintain one's dignity it is important not to rely on government or unions. Pay your dues, stay out of debt and try not to owe anybody anything.

Be benevolent toward those who have not attained any status in life due to unforeseen circumstances. With this kind of attitude you would have found a true purpose in life.
