THE Eastern Cape village of Qamata Great Place was transformed into a movie set for a month for the shooting of Justice is Justice, a film about rural village life.

Villagers, including chiefs from the Sigcau and Matanzima clans, were extras in the movie, which is now in the final stages of filming.

Starring two of South Africa's finest actors, MacDonald Mathunjwa and Andrea Dondolo, Justice is Justice tells the story of Mawonga (played by Mathunjwa) who takes a second wife. Dondolo plays the second wife's friend. Overcome with jealousy, Mawonga's older first wife plans to poison the younger wife. Her plan ends disastrously, with Mawonga ingesting the poison instead. He dies instantly.
