Subs in league final victory

SUBS cruised to a 3-1 win over Real City in the soccer final of the Safa-NMB SAB League leg of the Nedbank Cup at the NU2 stadium this week.

In the first round played at the Jubilee Stadium on Saturday, Subs beat Lion City 3-2 on penalties after the score was 0-0 at the end of regulation time.

They won easily in the quarterfinals on Sunday, beating Tomorrow Stars 3-0. In the semifinals, on the same day, they were held to a 2-2 draw by Callies, but won 3-2 on penalties.

On their way to the final, Real City beat Despatch Pioneers 2-1, Showvillage United 1-0 and Royal Bucks 1-0.
