IT'S just a jump to the left – or rather straight up Tenth Avenue, Summerstrand, to Pearson High School for an evening of Rocky Horror fun next week.
The Bellbuoy and Pearson High School Ecos group has adopted the Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL) for a Rocky Horror Picture Show party which will take place in the Pearson school hall on November 17 at 7pm.
Tabled seating will provide your party pack, including water pistols, newspapers, confetti, rice – you name it.
The MC for the evening, Frankenfurter – chameleon performer Reyn ffoulkes – will lead party-goers through the fun procedures and what to do with those party packs.
Then the screening of the movie begins, complete with AACL clinic administrator and well-known choreographer Jerry Fortuin and field workers demonstrating the Time Warp which the audience will learn with prizes for the best Time-Warper as well.
A DJ will take over after the screening to continue the fun.
It is "compulsory” to arrive in full Rocky Horror costume and prizes for best dressed include a fully paid weekend for two at the Kariega Game Park.
Other prizes include another weekend away, spa prizes and dinners.
A full bar is available and picnic baskets are the order of the day.
Tickets at R100 include your party pack and are available from William at Bellbuoy on (041) 374-4444, The Bargain Box Shop, Ninth Avenue, Walmer, from the Pearson High School office, and from Linda-Louise on hinoon@netactive.co.za.
All proceeds will go directly towards a Thornhill spayathon, which the AACL will be holding on November 25.
