Flood damage

Eight people died during three days of heavy rain and localised flooding in the Eastern Cape while millions of rands in damage were caused to the province’s roads, bridges and houses. Port Alfred and the Bushmans River were particularly hard hit with close to 400 mm falling in the area in the past week.
