Travis Goate, Executive Head of Department Commercial: Eastern Region at Vodacom congratulated Zizipho Potye and handed over the prize of a Samsung Galaxy 8 inch notebook with 3GB data valued at R7708.
Professor Derrick Swartz, Vice Chancellor of Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, congratulated Kurt Van Staden as the winner of this year's competition and handed over the four year bursary to NMMU, together with many more prizes handed to him by Yasteel Kuseeal, General Manager of Times Media Eastern Cape.
Sponsors from Proline Computers Stuart Bodman and Noeline van den Broek handed over a Proline notebook valued at R9000 to Kurt Van Staden, as the winner of The Herald Matric of the Year Awards 2013.
Kurt Van Staden received a graduation dinner for him and 25 guests hosted by Villa Tuscana Guest House including welcome drinks and catering including a sumptuous three course gourmet dinner prepared by Fat Cats Catering to the value of R5772 from sponsor representatives Uschke Crouse and Ashley Sonnenberger.
