I watched him bleed to death, says girlfriend

Dean Gallant, the Bethelsdorp Extension 31 man who died in a gang-related shooting on Wednesday, had been due to testify against two men who shot at him and two friends six months ago.

The two friends - Randy Nell, 31, and Ivonne McDonald, 26 - died in July last year outside the same Vellozia Drive house in Bethelsdorp where Gallant, 32, died after being shot three times in the back and once in the leg.

Gallant was due to testify against the suspects in that matter, charged with murder and attempted murder, later this year.
