ANC party support falls to record low of 53%

POLITICAL analysts have raised doubts over whether the ANC manifesto will be good enough to arrest the party's decline in support in the upcoming general election.

"It is a lot of the same. I do not think there was anything substantially new. We have had calls for fighting corruption and crime for so long it has become like a broken record," said political and constitutional analyst Professor Shadrack Gutto.

The doubts come as an Ipsos survey, released on Saturday, showed the party's support had dropped to an all-time low of 53%.
