Young donor on 13th unit of blood

IT has been two years since Luke Cameron donated his first unit of blood - the highly sought-after type O-negative.

The 18-year-old, who has just completed matric at Grey High School and plans to become a commercial pilot, has to date donated 13 units.

On Friday, upon hearing about the critical blood shortage around the country, Cameron was at it again, donating blood at the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) at Provincial Hospital in Mount Croix.
