MBDA gets all-clear

THE auditor-general is satisfied that the Mandela Bay Development Agency's books are in order, earning the entity its first clean audit in nine years.

Although the MBDA has received unqualified audits since it was established in 2003, this is the first time that it has received a totally clean bill of health without raising matters of emphasis - a huge feat for the agency as it is the best opinion that can be awarded by the AG.

The opinion was based on the agency's records for the 2012-2013 financial year.
