Radioman turns detective to bring house robbers to book

SABC radio journalist Mzukisi Solani was not going to let a break-in at a house he owns in Addo ruin his weekend.

The well-known media man, who lives and works in Port Elizabeth, put his sleuthing skills to the test this week and managed to hunt down the alleged thief so police could take him into custody.

With a title that today would be considered deeply offensive, this book by James McLaren was published in 1926 and offers a unique glimpse into South Africa's troubled past.
