Arms inquiry commission adjourned

24 January 2014
The Seriti Commission of Inquiry into the 1999 arms deal was adjourned on Friday (24/01/2014).

The commission would resume on Tuesday next week, to allow for the declassification of some documents, spokesman William Baloyi said in a statement.

This followed a postponement on Tuesday for further consultations between evidence leaders and witnesses from the trade and industry department.

The commission is investigating allegations of corruption in the controversial multi-billion-rand arms deal. - Sapa
